The Land is a social project initiated by Kamin Lertchaiprasert and Rirkrit Tiravanija in 1998 in Chiang Mai. The purpose of this project is to cultivate an open space for a self-sufficient community where experimental thoughts and modes of living could openly be pursued.

The Land locates in the middle of the rural landscape about 30-minute drive outside  the city. There are also an office with multipurpose hall and lodges in the city. The project consists of diverse activities which include organic farming, construction, art exhibition, lecture and others, Vipassana meditation and Yoga classes as well. The Land is an open-ended project, often works in collaboration with the artists and the researchers in Thailand and abroad.

The Land はカミン・ラーチャイプラサートとリクリット・ティラヴァーニャにより1998年にチェンマイで始められた社会参加型プロジェクト。その目的は、自立したコミュニティーのための開放された場を創出することであり、そこでは実験的な思索やライフスタイルの探求が、開かれた環境の中で行なわれる。

The Landは市内より車で30分ほどの田園地帯にあり、また市内にも多目的ホールやロッジを備えた事務局がある。プロジェクトの活動内容は多彩で、有機農業、建築、美術展、レクチャーなどの他、ヴィパサナ瞑想法やヨガの教室も開かれている。The Landへの参加活動には制限はなく、タイ内外のアーティストや研究者たちとのコラボレーションも頻繁に行なわれている。
