KG+ IN TOKYO 2019

  Art-U room is delighted to present 'KG+ IN TOKYO 2019' together with KG+ Executive Committee. Founded in 2013, KG+ is an open-entry art festival dedicated to discovering and fostering the talent of photographers, curators, and gallerists alike. As a satellite program of the KYOTOGRAPHIE International Photography Festival held concurrently each spring in Kyoto, KG+ affords an ideal forum for meeting and sharing information with the international photographic arts community, along with a participatory public outreach environment for visitors and local citizens.

  KG+SELECT is a part of the KG+ festival, where one of the artists is selected as Grand-Prix by a jury to be invited to participate in the following year’s KYOTOGRAPHIE. It is an attractive open-entry exhibition which connects this satellite event and main program recognized worldwide. In KG+ 2019, 3 artists out of 12 artists were awarded: Grand-Prix, Public Award, and the Paris Gallery “FIRST FLOOR” Prize. In the Tokyo exhibition the three artists are exhibited: Atsushi Fukushima who won Grand-Prix in KG+ 2019, Armelle Kergall selected as Public Award, Chika & Ichio Usui won Paris first floor gallery prize.
